Poppy is THE red for 2015!
Poppy pops! Okay, so thats a bit corny. :-) But red, no matter what you call it, is a very assertive colour. I don't know about you, but I have to be in the mood to wear red as it draws plenty of attention. It's also known as the power colour, and you can see why, people wearing red exude confidence, or at least that is the way they are perceived.
There are so many ways to wear red. From all out head to toe,
to pairing it with neutrals which allow the red to stand out on it's own - see the design from Celine, below, or with contrasting colours like purple - see Emilio Pucci, below. When pairing red with a contrasting colour, both colours compete for attention.
What are other interesting colour choices with poppy? Red sneakers say a lot without overwhelming you with red.
